Winnie Faye Hearl Warren

Winnie Faye Hearl Warren, age 90, of Bristol, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at The Cambridge House. Winnie was born July 1, 1920 in Washington County, Virginia to the late George and Trula Minnick Hearl. She was a former employee of Monroe Calculating Co. and retired from Columbus Electric. Winnie was a member of Reynolds Memorial United Methodist Church for fifty years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Warren and husband, Clyde; three brothers, Ed, Clarence and Raymond Hearl and a sister-in-law, Helen Hearl. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Reynolds and husband, Lonnie of Abingdon, VA and Loretta Slemp and husband, Hugh of Mountain City, TN; one son, Dale Warren and wife, Sue of Houston, TX; six grandchildren, Lisa, Leslie, Pam, Rebecca, David and Jason; eleven great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; one sister, Ruby Kestner and husband, Jim; three brothers, Gene Hearl, Harry Hearl and wife, Peggy and George Hearl, Jr. and wife, Doris and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 31, 2010 in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ricky Campbell, Pastor David Shinault and Pastor Richie Hayes officiating with music provided by Debbie Jessee. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be her nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Doug Green, Sam Abelseth, Edmond Manuel, Lonnie Reynolds and David Crossland. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. - 2:00 P.M., Friday prior to the funeral service or anytime at the home of Mrs. Warren.
