Hassie Leondas Dugger Wolfe Hassie Leondas Dugger Wolfe, age 86, of Mountain City, Tennessee and formerly of Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Mountain City Care Center. She was born on October 14, 1924 in Butler, Tennessee, to the late Thomas Clayton Dugger and Betty Augusta Arney Dugger. In addition to her parents, Hassie was preceded in death by her husband, William Lawrence Wolfe; one son, Jim Wolfe; sisters: Selma McGuire and Pearl Brown; brothers: Carl Dugger, Glen Dugger, Dayton Dugger and grandchild, Janie Wolfe. Hassie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved helping people in her community and was loved by all and will truly be missed. She was a lifelong member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church. Hassie is survived by a daughter, Sharon Potter of Butler, TN; sons: Lyle Wolfe of Butler, TN and Terry Wolfe and wife Deanie of Zionville, NC; sister, Wilma Triplett of Jonesborough, TN; grandchildren: Chris Potter and wife Shannon, Scotty Potter, Misty Dickens, Jason Wolfe, Kim Wolfe and Eddie Grindstaff; great grandchildren: Simon and Breanna Potter, Sierra Potter, Tyler and Christopher Dickens, Haley and Colten Wolfe, Donavin Grindstaff, Charity Grindstaff, Ian Grindstaff, Victoria Grindstaff and Riley Stout and daughters-in-law: Ann Wolfe and Carolyn Wolfe. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 12:30 -1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2011 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Doug Ranshaw and Minister Jim Hutchinson to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Cowan Town Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: William (Herb) Arnold, Gary Dugger, Scotty Potter, Chris Potter, Jason Wolfe, Eddie Grindstaff, Shawn McElyea and Brian Barefield. Honorary Pallbearers are: Tom Stout, David Dugger, Shane Green and Roger Dugger. Memorials may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
