Robert Bailey

Robert Bailey Jr. Robert Bailey, Jr., age 73, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, January 17, 2011. He was born on May 20, 1937 in West Virginia to the late James and Lucy Justice Bailey. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Bailey; sister, Florence Lockhart and brothers: Herbert Bailey and Minus Bailey. He was a former electrician for the coal mines. Robert was a member of Central Baptist Church of Mountain City, Tennessee, where he also served as Chairman of the church grounds committee. Robert is survived by his wife of 29 years, Yvonne Bailey; daughters and sons-in-law: Tamela and Dana Lester, Darlene and Kermit Lester, and Florence and Charlie Gibson ; sons and daughters-in-law: Eddie and Lydia Bailey, Vince and Linnie Bailey, Tracy and Belinda Young and Tex Young; sister, Darcus Lester; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill and Loradean Bailey, and Roy and Carol Bailey; grandchildren: Angelica Lester, Daniel Lester, Jim Gibson, Heather Gibson, Vanessa Bailey and Walter Bailey; five great grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Central Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m with Reverends Rick Thomason, Carl Swift and Mike Penley to officiate. Graveside Service and Entombment will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Woodlawn Memorial Park of Bluewell, West Virginia with Rev. Carl Swift to officiate. Active Pallbearers are: Johnny Arnold, Blake Fenner, Jerry Johnson, John Richardson, Freddie Bailey, Larry Lester and Allen Bailey. Honorary Pallbearers are: Noah Gilliam, Dave Humphrey and Basil Bailey. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 2430 South Shady Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
