Dot Morefield Dot Morefield, age 66, Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. She was born on June 23, 1944 to the late Earl and Ruby Dyson Woods. In addition to her parents, Dot was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Friley; two sons: Ronald Stanley and Freddie Stanley; one sister, Margie Stanley; one brother, Clifford Woods and first step grandson, Evan Nichols.. Dot was a former employee of Watauga Medical Center. She was a member of First Assembly of God. Dot is survived by her husband of 23 years, Ray Morefield; three daughters: Betty Barnett, Brenda Price and Tammy Morefield; one son, Jerry Stanley; grandchildren: Sonya Eckard, Mitchell Price, Joshua Stanley, Erin Stanley, Kevin Friley, Sherika Stanley, David Nichols, Rockwell Nichols, Gavin Morefield; great grandchildren: Cheyenne Eckard and Alexis Eckard; several nieces, nephews, cousins; aunts and uncle: Andy June' Dyson Jr., Mary Woods and Katherine Dyson and many special friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastors Harry Hillman and Ted Lewis to officiate. Private graveside service and interment will be held at the Lewis-Forrester Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Spencer Payne, Doug Payne, David Nichols, Rockwell Nichols, Jimmy Woods and Gavin Morefield. Honorary Pallbearers are Nurses of Johnson County Home Health.
