Kim Widener

Kim Widener, age 41, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on November 3, 1969 in Maryland to June Lewis and Larry Jenkins. Kim was a former employee of Northeast Correctional Facility. Kim was a very outgoing person who loved her family and friends very much. She was a member of Stateline Baptist Church. In addition to her parents: Joe and June Lewis of Mountain City, TN and Larry and Brenda Jenkins of Greenville, TN, Kim is survived by her husband, Mickey Widener; daughters: Courtney Cannet of Mountain City, TN, Kristy Squires of Panama City, FL and Kelly McCauley of Mountain City, TN; sons: Christopher Cannet and wife Jamie of Johnson City, TN, T.J. Patterson, and Joshua Widener both of Mountain City, TN; sister, Lara Johnson of Wilkesboro, NC; five special granddaughters; very special grandmother, Albernette Willis of Greenville, TN; very special mother-in-law, Marie Widener and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011 from the Stateline Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Icenhour to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Kerry Gentry. The graveside service and interment will follow from the Stateline Cemetery. Active Pallbearer are: Dion Hensley, Larry Widener, Steve Hawkins, Billy Mack Stout, Doug Blevins and Corey Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers are: Russell Lewis, Jake Lewis, Leroy Moon, Tommy DeVoti, Bob Nave, Darrell Gentry. Memorials may be made to the Widener Family at 714 Greer Branch Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
