Fred Garland

Fred Garland, 94, of Shady Valley passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. Garland is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Izetta Garland; four sons, Fred Garland, Jr., Tom Garland and wife Laura, Bill Garland and Lawton Garland and wife Gwenda; six grandchildren; three great grand children; step-son, Bobby Dodgion and wife Sue; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Garland was preceded in death by his first wife of forty nine years, Queen P. Garland; his parents, Jim and Catherine Garland and nine brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Harmon Chapel Christian Church with Howard Taylor, Minister officiating. Interment will be conducted on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Woodstation Cemetery, Ringgold, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harmon Chapel Christian Church Building Fund, 1443 Highway 133, Shady Valley, TN 37688.
