Joshua Allen Cornett

Joshua Allen Cornett, age 23, of Shady Valley, Tennessee, went to be with his family on March 2, 2011. He was born on June 10, 1987 to Keith Edward Cornett and Vannie Kay Mahala Cornett. He was preceded in death by one uncle, Freddie Joe Mahala. Joshua was a student at Northeast Community College. In addition to his parents, Keith and Kay Cornett, Joshua is survived by a brother, Jeremy Cornett and wife Ashlee of Johnson City, TN; grandparents: Fred and Judy Mahala of Shady Valley, TN and Ralph and Mary Alice Cornett, Damascus, VA; aunts and uncles: Robin and Keith Powers, Tony and Teresa Bebber, all of Damascus, VA, Curtis and Tabitha Blevins, Gary and Mona Roberts, all of Doe Valley, TN, Billy and Fredia Reynolds of Abingdon, VA and Chris and Joann Mahala Of Mountain City, TN; second parents: Ben and Sherry Wheeler of Shady Valley, TN and many, many, special friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Guinn to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 from the Blevins Cemetery, Shady Valley, Tennessee. Active Pallbearers will be Adam Wallace, Cody Grindstaff, Brandon Main, Cory Simpson, Chase Simerly, Jason Woodards and Mark Woodards. Honorary Pallbearers are: Aaron Roberts, Austin Roberts, Adam Roberts, B.J. Reynolds, Collin Mahala and Josh Bebber.
