Dayna Brenneman Dayna Brenneman, age 48, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to a better place on Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She is deeply loved and will never be forgotten. Dayna was born on February 20, 1963 to Tom Knodle and Carol Smith. She enjoyed helping people and volunteered at Hale Community Ministries. Dayna loved working with crafts, painting and drawing. She was a member of Roan Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Tom Knodle and wife Jean of Maryland and Carol Smith and husband Buddy of North Carolina, Dayna is survived by her husband of 25 ½ years, Mark Brenneman; son, Mark Brenneman Jr. and Brandy Barnett; sisters: Robin Knodle of Maryland and Mary Robinson of North Carolina; brother, Jimmy Robinson; several nieces and nephews and Dayna's cats, whom she dearly loved. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at Mountain City Funeral Home with Rev. David Hankel and Rev. Lonnie Denny to officiate. Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Phillippi Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family, friends and loved ones. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 482 Adams Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
