Don Roark, age 75, of Shady Valley, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at his residence. He was born on June 9, 1935 to the late John and Kate Jones Roark. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by two sisters: Virgie Brown and Ruth Campbell and two brothers: William Roark and Dave Roark. Don was a farmer and had also worked most of his life in the apple orchards. He was a member of Harmon Chapel Christian Church. Don is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lois Roark; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Donna Roark of Shady Valley, TN; brothers: Wayne Roark of Trade, TN and Ronald Roark of Mountain City, TN; special fishing buddy and brother-in-law, Jess Banks and wife Judy; special niece, Nikki Banks and fiancé, Larry Gentry, all of Shady Valley, TN; special friend, Jill Hutchinson and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Harmon Chapel Christian Church of Shady Valley, TN. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Howard Taylor, Minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Narrow Road. Pallbearers are Larry Gentry and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers are Don's Shady Valley Rook Buddies.
