Shirley J. Mabry

Shirley J. Mabry, age 72, of Limestone, Tennessee, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 17, 2011. She was born on May 2, 1938. She was a native of Mountain City, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Edward Milton and Julia Mae Treadway. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by brothers: Dub Dunn, Jimmy Dunn and Howard Dunn and a sister, Irene Treadway. Shirley attended Johnson County High School and spent many years in Memphis, Tennessee before returning to Mountain City, Tennessee. She is survived by five children: Howard Chip' McJunkin of Limestone, TN, Lori McGinnis of Limestone, TN, David Hightower of Doe, TN, Sara Pope of Jonesborough, TN and Bill Hightower of Piney Flats, TN; two brothers: Sonny Treadway of Mountain City, TN and Joe Treadway of Knoxville, TN; one sister, Dorothy Canter of Mountain City, TN; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Mabry will be conducted at 8:00 p.m .Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel (224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN) with Pastor Wayne Lambert to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. prior to the service. No Graveside Service is scheduled.
