Dorothy Herdman Isaacs

Dorothy Herdman Isaacs, age 54, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 28, 2011. She was born on June 18, 1956 to the Late Elizabeth Manuel Herdman. In addition to her mother, Dorothy was preceded in death by her cherished grandmother, Venie Manuel. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved doing things for others and her family. She was Mamaw Dottie' to her adored granddaughter Angel. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, spending time with friends, family and her beloved pug, Otie. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 29 years, Andy Isaacs; one daughter, Priscilla Courtner and Husband Clarence; two sons: Andrew Isaacs and Matthew Isaacs; one granddaughter, Angel Courtner; two sisters: Mary Alice Herdman and Imogene Bunn and husband Steve; several nieces, nephews and cousins; aunts: Ovel Brown and Mae Manuel and many special friends. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Roy Dowell and Rev. James Richardson to officiate. Music will be provided by Tootsie Roberts, Ladies of the Doe Valley Baptist Church and Elena Arney. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Rick Isaacs, Rob Isaacs, Freddy Lunceford, Robbie Isaacs, Terry Stout and Kenny Stout. Honorary Pallbearers are John Shoun and Scott Hodge.
