Hetty Gross Murphy

Hetty Gross Murphy, borne of the rugged beauty of south eastern Kentuckys, Leslie and Harlan Counties. Lacking in formative educations, but imbued with the desire to succeed, from a day laborer in the vegetable fields of Arizona, to the cotton fields of Texas, a succession of trials and tribulations to numerous to mention. Surviving is son, Bonell Smith and wife Louise of Butler, TN; granddaughter, Tracy Michele Smith of Mesa, AZ; half-brother, Leslie Whitehead; half sisters, Annalee and Ruby Whitehead; many nieces and nephews and a myrid of admiring friends.
