Jerry Harold Roberts

Jerry Harold Roberts, age 62, of Butler, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 16, 2011 at his residence. A native of Johnson County, Tennessee, he was born on November 24, 1948 to Sue Lowe Roberts and the late Hugo Roberts. Jerry worked for years in the furniture industry and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time also. He also loved to fish. In addition to his mother, Sue Lowe Roberts, Jerry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Louella Roberts; sons: Brian Harold Roberts and wife Donna and Jerry Wayne Roberts and wife Michelle; sisters: Janice Howard and husband Frank and Jean Humphrey and husband Edwin; brother, Gary Roberts and wife Alice; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Burl McComas and Kathy, Herb Nichols, Hobart Nichols, Mark Guinn and Robert Arnold and wife Teresa. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Terry Steele and Rev. Roy Wilson to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Roberts Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Burl McComas, Jim Potter, Clay Graybeal, Dillard Lewis, Robert Arnold, Jackie Harless, Carl Michael Howard and Herb Nichols. Honorary Pallbearers are: Jesse Wallace, Mark Buchanan and Matthew Taylor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN 37683. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home 1030 Old Hwy 67, Butler, TN 37640.
