James "Bud" Pennington

Mr. James Otis (Bud) Pennington, age 74, of Boone and formerly of Mountain City died Saturday afternoon at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living, Boone, NC. Born July 2, 1937 in Chilhowie, Virginia, he was the son of the late Dewey and Lura Seats Pennington. Bud is survived by his children; Peggy Pennington of Boone, NC, Libby Cox and husband Darin of Hamilton, Ohio, Eddie Pennington and wife Melissa of Fleetwood, NC and Wanda Johnson of Boone, NC two grandchildren; Jacob Cox and Cameron Cox, and the mother of his children; Joyce Jenkins of Boone. Memorial services for Mr. James Otis (Bud) Pennington will be conducted from the Antioch Baptist Church, Mountain City, TN on Saturday July 9, 2011. Flowers and expressions of sympathy may be sent to Antioch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at 2pm and the Memorial service will be at 3pm.
