PLEASE NOTE: PLACE OF GRAVESIDE SERVICE AND INTERMENT HAS BEEN CHANGED.... Marjorie Sue Dickens Fritts, age 74, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011. She was born on September 4, 1936 in Johnson County, Tennessee to the late Fred and Anna Mae Nelson Dickens. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Ann Stanley; a sister, Lucille Dickens Fritz; a brother, Bud Dickens and one grandson, Billy May. She enjoyed reading, gardening, working around her home and more than anything, loved the company of family and friends. Sue is survived by her granddaughter, Kim Phillippi and husband Rob of Mountain City, TN; sister, Dorothy Cogar of Carrollton, TX; brother, Fred Dickens Jr. of Kinderhook, NY; great grandchildren: Blake Phillippi and MaKala May Wilson and several nieces of nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Roy Dowell to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Brookshire Cemetery (Campbell Road, Mountain City, TN). Active Pallbearers are Harold Phillippi, Roby Phillippi, Kenny Mains, Roger Stanley, Tommy Nelson and Tim Nelson. Honorary Pallbearers are all of Sue's friends.
