Maynard Dwayne Jenkins Maynard Dwayne Jenkins, age 49, of Johnson City, Tennessee and formerly of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011. He was born on October 16, 1961 to the late Richard Calvin RC' and Opal Lena Brooks Jenkins. In addition to his parents, Maynard was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Morris and a brother, Richard Allen Dickie' Jenkins. . He was a former employee of Mountain City Care Center, where he enjoyed assisting and working with the residents. Maynard also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Maynard is survived by a daughter, Macy Jenkins of Elizabethton, TN; sons: Bobby Jenkins of AZ, Austin C. Jenkins of Johnson City, TN and Drew Jenkins of Elizabethton, TN; sister, Tammy Hart of Johnson City, TN;; grandchildren: Peyton Jenkins and Layla Jenkins, both of AZ; three nephews: David Coombs, Dennis Coombs, both of West VA and Tyler Malinovsky of Johnson City, TN. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Mountain City Funeral Home with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Mr. Mike Patterson to officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
