Jewell D. 'Judy' Laws

Jewell D. Judy' Laws, age 56, of Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on November 27, 1954 to Scarlet Faye Pierce Laws of Butler, Tennessee and the late Orville Tommy Laws. In addition to her father, Judy was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ruth Thomas and her special friend, Thumper. She enjoyed crafts, especially bead working. Judy also enjoyed gardening; planting flowers and watching them grow. In addition to her mother, Scarlet Faye Laws, Judy is survived by two sisters: Shirley Campbell and husband, David, Butler, TN and Darlene Howard of Mountain City, TN; brother, Charles Edward Laws and wife Sue of Butler, TN; special nephew, Ricky Laws of Butler, TN; special niece, Amy Henley of Mountain City, TN; great nephew, Anthony Laws of Butler, TN and several additional nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Roy Wilson to officiate. Music will be provided by the Fletcher Family. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Laws Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Michael Laws, Brandon Street, Tommy Brewer, Alf Henley, Jim Phillips, R.V. Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Laws and Dwayne Laws At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Judy's mother, 3409 Little Dry Run Road, Butler, TN 37640.
