Olga O. England

Olga O'Neal England, age 96, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Watauga Medical Center. She was born on March 16, 1915 to the late Eli and Zora Alice Payne Taylor. In addition to her parents, Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Golden Theodore England; daughters, Sylvia Bailey and Elizabeth Salmons; a son, Howard England; sisters: Hope Humphrey, Savannah Taylor, Valentine Taylor and Mary Jane Taylor; brothers: Bradley Taylor, Eli Taylor, Bruce Taylor, Steve Taylor and Brooke Taylor and grandson, Brocton Smith. Olga was a member of Hammons Chapel Christian Church and had been attending Damascus Church of Christ. She loved her church and church family deeply and loved to read her bible, listen to preaching and gospel music. Olga enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends and taking care of others. She is survived by her daughters: Lilly England of Mountain City, TN and Carol Smith and husband Samuel Smith of Greensboro, NC; daughter-in-law, Susan England; grandchildren: Sandra Lee Mullens and husband Jamie, Christi Blankenbeckler and husband David, Grady Runyon and wife Becky, Tania Broden and husband Jeff, Damon England, Dwayne Salmons, Lisa Salmons, David Salmons and wife Leisa and Brooke Reece and husband Nathan; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Mountain City Funeral Home with Jim Hutchinson, Minister, to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Payne-Farmer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Salmons, David Salmons, David Blankenbeckler, Grady Runyon, Nathan Reece and Samuel Smith.
