Russell Harold Powell Jr. (Rush)

Russell Harold Powell Jr. (Rush), age 48, of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. He was born on February 18, 1963 to Russell H. Powell Sr. of Ohio and the late Sherian Rudish Mullins. Rush enjoyed the outdoors and loved to ride four-wheelers. He also loved Nascar and college football. Rush is survived by his wife, Pam Powell of Laurel Bloomery, TN; father, Russell Powell Sr. and DeLee of Mansfield, OH; sons: Dustin Powell and wife Jessica, Jamey Powell, all of Mountain City, TN, Donnie Powell and Dalton Powell, both of Silsby, TX; sister, Kim Powell of Ashland, OH; brothers: Chris Powell and wife Allyson and Charlie Powell and wife Jeni, all of Mansfield, OH; four grandchildren: Isiah Brooks, Riley Powell, Lilly Powell and Matthew Powell; special nephew, John Powell; nieces and nephews: Ellie Powell, Addyson Powell, Gage Powell and Dane Powell; special friends: Tom Cook, Mark Roberts, Kirby Proffitt and Larry Snyder. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Bill Adams to officiate. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Donald Tarr, Tom Cook, Mark Roberts, Kirby Proffitt and Larry Snyder. There will be no public graveside service.
