Delmer Ray Eller

Delmer Ray Eller, age 66, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. He was born on December 16, 1945 to the late Edward Bell' Eller and Nell Icenhour Eller. In addition to his parents, Delmer was preceded in death by a sister, Oma Norris and a niece, Brenda Amburgey. Delmer loved to fish. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons: David Ray Eller and wife Cassy of Zionville, NC and Allen Ray Lewis of West Jefferson, NC; sisters and brothers-in-law: Myrtle and John Brown and Mary Ann and Shot Dickens; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jack and June Eller and Bob and Jo Ann Eller, all of Mountain City, TN; grandchildren: Chloe Eller, Callie Eller, Natalie Lewis and Clayton Hartzog; Delmer's dog, who was his best friend and companion, Monk; special friend, Mary Lewis; many more special friends and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastors Billy Poe Jones, Ted Lewis and Steven Spencer to officiate. Music will be provided by Delmer's son, Allen Lewis and nephew, Kody Norris. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Reece Memorial Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Brian Eller, Michael Eller, Randy Eller, Tommy Eller, James Brown, Johnny Dickens, Kenneth Dickens, Eddie Dickens, Kenny Norris and Jamie Norris. Honorary Pallbearers are Wally May, Jim Moody, Russell May, Charles Brown, Gary Phillips, Steve Potter, Chris Brown and Brad Eastridge. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to FMC Dialysis Services of Mountain City and Amedisys Home Health.
