Jady Christian Stanton

Jady Christian Stanton, age 73, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 20, 2012 at his residence. He was born on August 27, 1938 to the late Conley Houston Stanton and Mae Barlow Stanton. In addition to his parents, Jady was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Ruth Stanton, who passed away February 1977; sisters: Alice Stanton, Orda Metcalfe, Edna Payne, Sarah Keller and Mary Stanton and brothers: Joe Stanton, Junior Stanton, Charlie Stanton, Harold Stanton, Carl Casper Stanton and John David Stanton. Jady loved being outdoors and he especially loved to go deer hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed gardening during the summer. He was a member of Pierce Baptist Church. Jady is survived by his wife, Norma Stanton; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Paul Stout of Mountain City, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Teresa Stanton of Vilas, NC, grandchildren: Heather Norris and Brittany Stanton; special cousin, Norma Kay Pennington and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ray Greene and Rev. Carl Swift to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Bakers Gap Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Terry Stanton, Vernon Stanton, Roger Gentry, Doug Arney, Dan Arney, Larry Eggers, Matt Eggers and Bobby Stanton . Honorary Pallbearers are: Glenn Arney, Paul Keller, JD Cable Ivan Sluder, Dwight Adams, Dennis Stanton, Darrell Stanton, Wade Snyder, David Dugger, Robert Pennington, Ray Keller and Truman Stanton.
