Judy Nave Snyder

Judy Nave Snyder, age 84, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Watauga Medical Center. She was born on June 12, 1927 to the late Edward and Margaret Maggie' Arnold Nave. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by two sisters: Adlee Lane and Ella Mae Goodwin and two brothers: Earl Nave and Shelton Nave. Judy loved to read and loved to go sight-seeing and travel. She was a member of Liberty Christian Church. Judy is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alex Snyder; daughter, Kathy Greever of Mountain City, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Helen Snyder of Mountain City, TN; sister, Louise Russom of Mountain City, TN; grandchildren: Amanda Greever of Louisville, TN, Chad Greever and wife Amber, Tracy Snyder and wife Wendy, Rebekkah Davenport and husband Charles, all of Mountain City, TN; great grandchildren: Trey Snyder and Emily Snyder and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Steven Spencer to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Ms. Sherry Tester. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chad Greever, Tracy Snyder, Chuck Davenport, John Verplank, Larry Snyder, Bill Worley. Honorary Pallbearers are Jack Elswick and Jim Hutchinson.
