Bruce Ray Wilson, age 88, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday evening, February 11, 2012 at his residence. Bruce was born on December 2, 1923 in Watauga Co. North Carolina to the late J.D. Wilson and Maudie Eggers Wilson. Bruce retired from the Automotive Industry as an assemblyman. He loved to Garden and share his vegetables he grew and was a avid patron and supporter of the Johnson County Senior Citizens. Bruce was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife Gladys Wilson, Bruce is survived by his wife of nine years, Louine Martin Main Wilson; daughter, Shirley J. Thomas and husband Bob of Lititz, PA; son, Harold J. Wilson and wife Katheline, of Fulton, MO; sisters, Ruby Cole of Coatsville, PA., Hattie Yates and husband Bobby of Valle Crucis, NC, and Mary Kemp of Creston, NC; brother, Butler J. Wilson of Bristol, TN; seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Mountain City Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Ricky Campbell to officiate. Graveside service and burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in the Reece Memorial Cemetery; Pallbearers will be grandsons; Brian Thomas, Brad Thomas, Glenn Stoltzfus, Matthew Wilson, Robert Wilson and Freddie Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Men of John Payne's Sunday School Class.
