Dean Eastridge

Dean Eastridge, age 61, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born on September 11, 1950 to the late Walter and Pauline Hockaday Eastridge. Dean was a truck driver and farmer. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed farming and tending to his cattle with his grandson, Justin. Dean also liked fishing and riding his motorcycle. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family. Dean was a humble, Christian man who loved the Lord and was a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church.. He is survived by his wife, Linda Ashley Eastridge, with whom he would have celebrated 43 wonderful years of marriage on February 28; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Bobby Blevins of Mountain City, TN; grandson, Justin Blevins, who was his pride and joy; special mother-in-law, Thelma Phillips; brother, James Eastridge of Trade, TN; several nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles and many special friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Shepherd to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from the Reece Memorial Cemetery. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 190 Columbia Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
