Jimmy Dale Miller

Jimmy Dale Miller, age 66, of Elizabethton (Stoney Creek Community), Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 7, 1946 to the late James Marion and Dora Shepherd Miller. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by a sister, Reatha Wood and brothers: Lacy Miller, Don Miller and Gene Miller. He was raised in Ashe County, where he had lived most of his life. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Kathy Miller; sisters: Madelline Roop of Taylorsville, NC and Goldie Byrd of Galax, VA; brother, Carroll Dean Miller of Lansing, NC and several nieces and nephews. There will be a family viewing on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 from the Perry Family Cemetery, Little Horse Creek Community, Lansing, NC, with Brother Junior Gobble and Brother Roger Wood to officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Kathy Miller, 205 Davis Hollow Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home located at 205 Davis Hollow Road.
