Glenn "Eddie" Arnold, age 65, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Johnson County Community Hospital. Eddie was born July 26, 1946 in Johnson County to the late Glenn Arnold, Sr. and Clovis Poteet Arnold. Eddie was a long haul commercial truck driver and liked to operate heavy equipment of any kind. He enjoyed working and loved taking care of his lawn and garden. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mountain City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Kathy Cuddy Arnold. Eddie is survived by his wife, Linda Buchanan Arnold; daughter, Tammy Arnold Mannis and husband Gary; son, Freddie Joe Arnold and wife Ruby; sister, Karen Long and husband David of St. Matthews, South Carolina; brothers, Frank Arnold and wife Barbara and Steve Arnold; grandchildren, Michael Mannis and wife Johnna, Brady Joe Arnold, Christopher James Mannis, Jacob Lee Mannis and Samantha Arnold; special nephew, Douglas Arnold, several other nieces and nephews and many special friends also survive. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012 at Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Nelson Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Denney and Rev. Sammie Icenhour officiating. Burial will follow the service at Arnold Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy Icenhour, Boyd Pardue, Tom Johnson, John Triplett and Dale Sluder. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Cook, Luther Jackson, Doug Winkler, Tommy Wilson, Jeff Lunceford, Tommy Shoun, Bill Icenhour, Sr. and Tim Furches.
