Ralph Kyte

Ralph J. Kyte, age 83, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012. He was born on September 17, 1928 to the late Rhonda and Lexie Stalcup Kyte. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by a son, James Kyte. Ralph was a truck driver for many years and in 1973 he began his career in the funeral industry working in Johnson County until 2005. During this time, Ralph also managed the office of Hitchcock Memorials of Mountain City until February of 2012, when his health declined. Ralph loved the outdoors and enjoyed watching and feeding his birds. He also had a fish pond and loved showing his fish to his friends and neighbors. He also loved his dogs. Ralph attended Elk River Baptist Church. Survivors include Ann Hatley; daughters: Mary Ann Dineen and husband John of Little Falls, NY and Brenda Townsend and husband Vance of Mountain City, TN; son, Danny Kyte of Mountain City, TN; sister, Lois Sis' Garver of Butler, TN; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Ann Kyte; two nieces and many, many dear friends. The family will receive friends from 1:30 -3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Charles Cable to officiate. Music will be provided by Mr. Kody Norris. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the W.A. Miller Cemetery, located on 321, Butler, TN. Pallbearers are: Tom Kyte, Dennis Campbell, Eric Mondrage, Michael Kyte, Jim Vincill, Terry Matheson and Walter B. Simcox. Honorary Pallbearers are: Mac Miller, Tony Miller, John Lowe, Robbie Miller, Edward Miller, Roy Miller, Paul Stalcup, Junior Stalcup Staff of Hitchcock Memorials and all of Ralph's friends.
