Berlie A Buck' Barry, age 88, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Mountain City Care Center. He was born on February 13, 1924 to the late Daniel Hugh Barry and Mary Alice Grindstaff Barry. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three sisters: Rachel Greer, Lulu Wells and Anna Wells. a brother, Ray Barry. Berlie was a 1944 graduate of Johnson County High School and a 1946 graduate of Elizabethton Business College. He founded Barry Real Estate Auction Company and after many years of service, retired from the company. He enjoyed working around his farm and with his cattle. He also enjoyed working in his garden with his wife Mary. Berlie was a member of the Taylorsville Masonic Lodge #243 F&AM and the Jericho Shrine Temple. He was a faithful member of Liberty Christian Church. Berlie loved his family and spending time with them and he will be missed by all. Berlie is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary I. Crussell Barry; daughter, Alice Faye McCloud; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Gearlene Barry, Wayne and Vickie Barry and Joe and Pat, all of Mountain City, TN; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Mountain City Funeral Home with Minister Maurice Widener to officiate. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow at the Phillippi Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Carl Williams, Anthony Barry, Chaz McCracken, Jason Barry, David Pennington, Mike Eller and CJ McCloud. Honorary Pallbearers are Jim Hutchinson, Barton Hawkins, Earl Greer, Larry Mullins and Members of Liberty Christian Church. Friends may call at the home of a son Daniel Barry, 1867 Pleasant Valley Rd., Mountain City, Tn 37683. Memorials may be made in Berlie's memory to Phillippi Cemetery, c/o Dinah Coverdale, 264 West Holy Hill Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
