Keri K. Scovern

Keri Kassandra Osborne Scovern, age 46, of Hudson, North Carolina and formerly of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 14, 1966 to the late Edgar Ray Osborne and Gladys June Sexton Osborne. Prior to her illness, she loved spending time with her family and especially her granddaughter. She also liked being at the lake and enjoyed music. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney Osborne. Keri is survived by her daughter, Kassandra Pennington of Hudson NC; son, Devan Scovern of Hickory, NC; granddaughter, Alexa Sky Nieves; sisters, Shelly Osborne of Wilkesboro, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry and Margie Osborne of Johnson City, TN and Steve and Judy Osborne of Speedway, IN, several nieces and nephews and special friends, Viki and Jody Gillium of Hudson, NC. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Derl McCloud to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations will be graciously appreciated.
