Bill Wayne Wallace, age 55, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Carolinas Medical Center of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was born on July 5, 1956 to the late Billy Reid and Charlotte Roberts Wallace. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Marie; aunts: Virginia R. Shoun, Violet Marie Buchanan; uncle, Hugo Roberts, first cousin, Jerry Roberts; father-in-law, Noah Wayne Roark; sisters-in-law, Rebecca McElyea and Cherry Roark. Bill loved singing and playing his guitar and years ago was a founding member of the band Southwind. He also enjoyed the outdoors and raising and working in his garden and canning. Bill liked to watch the old Westerns, surfing the computer and working on old cars. He was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved to ride. Most of all, Bill loved his family and spending time with them. Bill was an entrepreneur. In 2006 he received his Associate Degree in Bible Studies. Bill attended Hope Christian Fellowship Church. He is survived by his wife, Billie Faye Wallace; daughter, Shena Rose of Elizabethton, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Christopher Wallace and wife Olivia Sparks-Wallace of Jonesborough, TN; grandchildren: Ayriaan Sparks-Wallace, Zebulon Sparks-Wallace, Isabella Sparks-Wallace and Seth Michael; sister and brothers: Karen, Richard and Mike; mother-in-law, Millie Roark; uncle, Arche Roberts Jr.; aunts: Ruth Wallace and Lura Johnson; special friends: Berrey Dunn, John Forrester and Doug Icenhour; first cousins: Gary Roberts, Norma Jean Humphrey, Janice Howard, Sallie Johnson, Mack Roberts, Joy Day, Randy Shoun, Joan Buchanan and Eric Wallace; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews and many, many more special friends. The family will receive friends from 5-6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. with Dr. Harvey Bauman and Doug Roberts to officiate. Graveside Services with Military Honors will follow from the Lowe Cemetery and will be conducted by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Pallbearers are: Jessie Wallace, Eric Wallace, Mack Roberts, Berrey Dunn, Willis Shearin, Doug Icenhour and John Forrester. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. John Whitlock and Bill Brookshire. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Bill's mother-in-law, Millie Roark, 978 Honeysuckle Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
