Uncle' Leon Anderson, age 100, of Butler, Tennessee, went to be with his brother, mother and father on Monday, June 25, 2012. He was born on August 3, 1911 in Grafton, Ohio to the late Frank and Mary Filiplak Anderson. He had made his home in Tennessee for the last eight years. Leon loved electronics, computers and radios. He also was an avid reader. Leon was a World War II Veteran having served in the United States Army Air Corp. He was of the Catholic Faith. He is survived by his nephew, Frank Anderson and his wife Rosemary of Butler, TN; niece, Diane Anderson of Wickliffe, Ohio; great nephews: Jim Anderson and wife Mary, John Anderson and Joel Anderson and wife Kathy; great niece, Jill Cooper and husband Lee; great great nieces and nephews: Tara, Katie, Lindsay, Alisha, J.J., Michael, Jessica and Jordan. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with a Prayer Service to follow 6:00 p.m. with Father Dennis Kress officiating. Graveside Service with Military Honors will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery with Father Dennis Kress officiating and the Johnson County Honor Guard conducting military honors. The Johnson County Honor Guard will also serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Bernie Cowan Sr., Kerry Gentry, Larry Grove and Brian Sehrer.
