Stacy Morefield

Stacy Morefield, age 58, of Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012. He was born on August 18, 1953 to the late Luke and Ann Winters Morefield. In addition to his parents, Stacy was preceded in death by sisters: Diane Guy and Nancy Cannon and brothers: James Morefield and Junior Morefield. Stacy enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and working in his garden. More than anything, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. He was a member of Rock Springs Church of Christ. Stacy is survived by his wife, Martha Mattie' Hansens Morefield; daughters: Alicia Morefield of Stoney Creek, TN, Lora "BooBoo' Morefield of the home, stepdaughters: Heidi Nicholson of Lake City, FL and Samantha Mays and husband Josh of Butler, TN; son, Joshua Ray Morefield and step-son, Roger Blair Jr. and wife Stacey, all of Mountain City, TN; grandchildren: Hunter Greene, Dalton Morefield, Austin Blair, Breana Blair, Caleigh Blair, Arielle Nicholson, Emmy Nicholson, Jackson Mays and Jona Mays; brothers and sisters: Earl Morefield and wife Anna Ruth of Butler, TN, Everette Morefield and wife Louise of Abingdon, Va, Bessie Hammons and husband Boyd of Mountain City, TN, Edd Morefield and wife Helen of Butler, TN, Mary Townsend and husband Wilbert of Mountain City, TN, Harold Morefield and wife Louise of Mountain City, TN, Peggy Woodard and husband Bill of Mountain City, TN, Jean Arnette and husband Junior of Vilas, NC, Grace Osborne and husband Carl of Butler, TN and Bud Morefield and wife Kathy of Butler, TN; Stacy's beloved dogs, who did not leave his side, Miah and Nevaeh and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Mountain City Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Minister Buddy Morefield to officiate. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Martha Morefield, 371 Morefield Road, Butler, TN 37640.
