Kraig Swift

Kraig Swift, age 50, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 23, 2012. He was born on August 17, 1961 to Ruth Arney Robbins and the late Herman Kyle Swift. In addition to his father, Kraig was preceded in death by his step-father, Clinton Stephen Robbins, who treated Kraig like his own son and who Kraig called Daddy', and a brother, Kyle Swift, who passed away June 21, 2012. Kraig enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing, camping and gardening. Kraig also enjoyed arts and liked to draw and paint flowers and make objects out of popsicle sticks. Kraig was a United States Army Veteran. Kraig is survived by his mother, Ruth Arney Robbins of Mountain City, TN; one sister, Keitha Ruth Pennell of Pink Hill, NC.; two brothers, Kip Arney, Sr, and Stephen Robbins and wife Teresa, all of Mountain City, TN; special uncle and aunt, Glenn and Elena Arney; two nieces: Shaundra Price and Sarah Sue Brown; four nephews: Bobby Swift, Johnathan Price, Stephen Robbins Jr., and Kip Arney, Jr.; great nephews: Jordan Price and Stephen Colton Swift; special cousin, Rebecca Arney Riddle; several cousins, aunts and uncles also survive. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Ricky Campbell to officiate. Music will be provided by Ms. Elena Arney and Rev. Dennis Peterson. Graveside Service and Interment with Military Honors will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 from the Wilson Cemetery and will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Pallbearers are: Bobby Swift, Kip Arney Jr., Dearl Swift, Mike Wilson, Tom Icenhour, Michael Price and Jonathan Price. Honorary Pallbearers are: Kip Arney Sr., Stephen Robbins Sr, Stephen Robbins Jr., Glenn Arney, Doran Swift, Melvin Humphrey and Mark Humphrey.
