Carnis Keaton Crotty, age 75, of Mountain City, Tennessee, and formerly of Mercer County, West Virginia, moved forward to his heavenly home on Monday, August 13, 2012. Born in Pinoak, West Virginia on May 5, 1937, he was the son of the late Rev. John Millard Crotty and Edna Wavie Walker. In addition to his parents, Carnis was preceded in death by siblings: Carol Dean Davis (George), Richard Elwood Crotty (Cleo), Deanna Darnell Cade (Clarence), David Elman Crotty (Betty) and Rancel Devon Crotty. Carnis was a member of First Baptist Church of Mountain City, TN. He was a United States Veteran, having honorably served in the United States Marine Corps. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Frances Fran' of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Cindy of Maryville, TN; daughter, Theresa Terri' of Mountain City, TN; grandchildren: Daniel Bradley of Chicago, IL, Kelly Lynn of Maryville, TN and Katelyn Marie of Maryville, TN; sisters: Rhonda Eloise Rich (Gerald) of Pleasant Shade, TN, and Artha Dale Knoefel of Columbus, OH; brothers: Merrill Millard Crotty (Barbara) of Fort Mills, SC, Daniel Kayford Crotty of Tacoma, WA, Glen Ellis Crotty (Evelyn) of Delaware, OH and Kenny Joe Crotty (Judy) of Princeton, WV; sister-in-law, Brenda Hicks (Bill) of Friendship, TN and brother-in-law, Jerry Warden (Shelby) of Nimitz, WV. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Mountain City with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Ricky Campbell to officiate.
