Barbara Williamson

Barbara Williamson, age 69, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 28, 1943 to the late Clyde and Gladys Ratcliff Dean. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Williamson, who passed away on April 30, 2007. Barbara enjoyed being outside and walking, when her health allowed. She loved her family and loved taking care of them. She also volunteered as a foster parent. Barbara read her bible daily and enjoyed listening to gospel music. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, where she attended until her health declined. The last thing that Barbara would want everyone to know is Jesus Christ is the answer'. Barbara is survived by daughters: Pamela Y. Williamson, Betty Rena Helton, and Lisa Reece, all of Mountain City, TN; sons and daughters-in-law: Allen P. and Kimberly Williamson of Houston, TX, John Mark Williamson Sr. and Shaun Lee and Melissa Williamson, all of Mountain City, TN; brother, Bob Lester; grandchildren: Allen M. Williamson, Joseph L.O. Williamson and wife Ashley N., Stephen A.P. Williamson, Deanna M. Williamson, Ashley N. Brinker and husband Jeffrey, Brandy L. Channell, Brittany L. Helton, Ashley Dugger, Julia Reece, Erica Milliken, Rene Walker, Stephanie R. Williamson, John M. Williamson Jr., Tasha King, Lance King, Brandon Bradley Williamson; great grandchildren: Dallas J. Williamson, JaKobee, Tyler Lee Williamson, Jaylee M. Miller, Joshua Hamby, Leroy S. Lane, Haley Milliken, Camren Shell, Colby Shell, Conner Shell, Calleb Shell, Jayden, Sylas, Jarret and Joshua Walker, Rayden Dugger, Alex Dugger and McKenzie Reece; sister-in-law, Betty Daigle Hastings; nieces: Tammy White and Leann Dunlap and husband Freddie; nephew, Eddie Daigle; foster children: Sam Woods and Terry Mounts, and many more special friends. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Brian Arnold to officiate.
