Hal Payne

Hal White Payne, age 71, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012. He was born on December 31, 1940 to the late Doyt and Edith McNeil Payne. In addition to his parents, Hal was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda Payne, brothers: Sam Payne and Doyt Mac Payne; sister, Marlene Bird and a granddaughter, Meagan Payne. Hal loved to be outdoors and especially loved to travel. He was of the Baptist faith. Hal honorable served in the United States Marines from January 2, 1958 to December 29, 1961. He is survived by his children: Tammy Farrow and husband Danny of Mountain City, TN, Danny Payne and wife Pat, Kenneth Payne and Mary Morgan, all of Irving, TX, sister, Mary Jones of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services for Hal White Payne will be held in Texas at a later date. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 141 Swift Hollow Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
