Dannie Murl Guinn

Dannie Murl Guinn, age 81, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. He was born on May 29, 1931, in Flat Springs, NC to the late Nathan Guinn and Vennie Guy Guinn. In addition to his parents, Dannie was preceded in death by three sisters: Alice Guinn, Dora Campbell and Caldon Crumley; brothers: Ivan Guinn, Ira Guinn, Andrew Guinn, Oscar Guinn and Carl Guinn. Dannie served in the United States Army in Germany. He enjoyed working on cars and being Mr. Fix- it. He also enjoyed working with his Garden. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Arnold Guinn; daughter, Donna Guinn Senn and husband Johnny of Christiansburg, VA. Son, Michael Guinn of Mountain City, sisters; Blanche Berry of Butler, TN and Dorothy Sizemore of Houston, TX; brother, O'dell Guinn of Mountain City, grandchildren: Jeanette Bunton, Matthew Senn and Chad Guinn; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from the Mountain Home National Cemetery, with Pastor Dennis Peterson and with Military Honors accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard.
