Edward Roark

Edward Roark, age 88, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away at the Johnson City Medical Center on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. He was born on May 14, 1924 to the late Samuel and Naomi Roark. In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by siblings: Blanche, Burt, Howard, Wayne, and Dae. Edward is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Karl Chappell; sons: Michael Roark and friend Tammy Icenhour, Quincy Roark and Howard Williams; brother, Ray Roark; sisters: Faye Roark and Mae Roark; grandchildren: Samantha Jones, Jonathan Jones, Jeffery Roark, Allison Roark, Cheryl Leonard, Misty Williams, Jamie Williams and Daniel Williams; great grandchild: Braxton Eli Lee Jones; very special friend, Judy Cornett; several nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 11-12:00 on Monday, October 8, 2012 from God's Country Church with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m .with Pastor Ron Manuel to officiate. Music will be provided by Ron and Gary Manuel. Graveside Service and Interment with Military Honors will follow from the Hampton-Arnold-Roark Cemetery and will be conducted by the Johnson County Honor Guard.
