David Ike Brown

David Ike Brown, age 61, of Roan Creek Road, Neva, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Mountain City Care Center. A native of Greeneville, TN, he was born on October 21, 1950, the son of the late James and Helen M. Brown. David was a 1968 graduate of Greeneville High School. He worked in construction for many years. David enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his great nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Jim M. Brown and Steven A. Brown. David is survived by a sister, Annlynn Ward of Mountain City, TN; two nephews: Jake Ward and Travis Ward and wife Mandy, all of Neva, TN and two great nieces, Josie Ward and Sadie Ward, also of Neva, TN. The family wishes to extend their appreciation and gratitude to Ben Masters, Dwayne and Beth Dickson of First Christian Church, Ron Drake of Community Church, Kim Kleine and all of the nurses and staff of Mountain City Care Center. A special thank you to Sarah Diehl for her wonderful compassion and care given to David during his illness. It was David's wishes to be cremated with no formal services to be held. A private, family service will be held at a later date.
