Charlie Pardue, age 92, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was born on November 19, 1919 to the late Thomas Clayton Pardue and Mollie Victoria Moretz Pardue. In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Pardue, brothers: Clayton Pardue and Luther Pardue; a granddaughter, Christy Hill and a great grandson, Zachory Hill. Charlie worked for many years in construction operating a grader. His hobbies included making knives and carpentry work. He also enjoyed raising and working in his garden. Charlie was a member of the Rainbow Baptist Church, where he had served as Deacon since 1952. Charlie is survived by his wife of 67 years, Juanita Pardue; daughters and sons-in-law: Charlotte and Glenn Hammons and Betty and Danny Cornett; sons and daughters-in-law: Boyd and Carolyn Pardue and David and Donna Pardue; sister and brother-in-law, Earline and Earl Crowder; brothers and sister-in-law: James and Georgia Pardue and Roger Pardue; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; special friends: Paul Payne and Glenn Hammons and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel Brother Raymond Tester and Brother Frank Woods to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Sunset Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Rick Roberts, Dustin Rankins, David Laws, Mike Arnold, Paul Dunn and Mark Tester. Honorary Pallbearers are: Devin Lewis, Dr. John Whitlock, Dr. Robert Griffith, Glenn Hammons, Charles Rankins, Danny Cornett and Tommy Johnson.
