John H. Sala

John Henry Sala, age 61, of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital, Bristol, TN. John was born February 14, 1951 to the late William and Mary Catherine Livingston Sala in Johnstown, PA. John was a member of Appalachian Church of Christ. John lived most of his life in Pennsylvania but had recently moved to Mountain City. He was employed by Pioneer Chevrolet in Abingdon, VA where he worked as an auto body mechanic. John enjoyed NASCAR, working on old cars and riding his Harley Davidson. In addition to his parents John is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Barry Fyock. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Fyock of Johnstown, PA; brothers, Donald Sala and wife Alma of Mountain City, TN and William "Bill" Sala and wife Jan of Cortland, OH; nieces, Donna Burgess and husband Brent of Mountain City, TN, Laurie Lewis and husband Ron of Georgia, Joannie Mann and husband Paul of Johnstown, PA and Connie Harris and husband Russ of Orlando, FL; nephews, Arlen Sala and wife Sharon and Gary Sala and wife Steffanie, all of Mountain City, TN, Jay Sala and wife Holly of Cortland, OH and Fred Fyock and wife Chris of Maryland and several great nieces and nephews The memorial service for John Sala will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2010 at Appalachian Church of Christ with Mr. Mike Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Appalachian Church of Christ, 144 Calvary Lane, Mountain City, TN 37683 The family will also receive friends at the home, 140 Hoosier Lane, Mountain City, TN Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.mountaincityfh.com.
