Freda M. Rash

Freda Mae Rash, age 81, of Trade, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior unexpectedly on Friday, December 21, 2012, at her home. She was born on March 23, 1931 to the late Clyde Barlow and Glenna Osborne Barlow. In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Rash; sister, Maxine Brown; brothers, Joseph A. Barlow, Jack Barlow, Carl Barlow and Earnest Gib' Barlow.. Freda retired from Levi-Strauss. She loved gardening, being outdoors and around the farm. Freda loved more than anything to spend time with her family, especially her granddaughter. She attended Mountain View Independent Methodist Church. Freda is survived by her daughters: Della Mae Rash of the home and Karen Rash Manuel of Trade, TN; granddaughter: Janel Manuel of Trade, TN; sisters: Gladys Lintecum of Martinsville, VA, Gail Eastridge of Mountain City, TN, Gearldine Ballue of Creston, NC, and Charlotte Farmer and husband Earnest of Creston, NC; several nieces and nephews and her neighbors Don and Peggy Rogers. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Mike Farmer, Tommy Stephens and Eddie Porter to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Rash-Snyder Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Whitey Farmer, Anthony Farmer, Cory Fenn, Darrell Barlow, Brian Barlow, Don Rogers and Herbie Adams. Honorary Pallbearers are Burman Mains, Earl Greer, Virgil Greer, Junior Greer and B.C. Stout,Jr.
