Joseph B. Dunn

Joseph Blaine Dunn, age 38, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on April 10, 1974 to Ronnie Dunn and the late Kathy Dunn, who passed away on August 19, 2008. In addition to his mother, Joseph was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Edward Dunn. Joseph was an accomplished carpenter by trade and was a member of the Local 1354 Carpenters Union. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Joseph also loved spending time with his family. He attended Calvary Baptist Church. Joseph is survived by his father, Ronnie Dunn of Mountain City, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Renee and Jack Proffitt; nieces and nephews: Ashtin Freeman, Aron Freeman, and Alexis Proffitt, his special dog, Chip, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Steven Spencer to officiate. Music will be provided by Slice of Bluegrass. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013 from the Phillippi Cemetery, Active Pallbearers will be Aron Freeman, Ron Greer, Josh Anderson, Doug Forrester Jr., Charlie Forrester and Eric Ward.
