Billy V Snyder

Billy V. Snyder, age 79, of Newton, North Carolina and formerly of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Conover Nursing Home. He was born on April 11, 1933 to the late William Howard Snyder and Emma Virginia Brown Snyder. Billy was employed for over 20 years at Everette Chevrolet, where he worked in the parts receiving department. He was an avid reader and loved to study various American histories, especially the Civil War. Billy was a member of Viewmont Baptist Church of Hickory, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Lois Heck Snyder of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Andrea Lynn Snyder of Hickory, NC and Kelly and David Moore of Conover, NC. Graveside Service and Burial will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from the Phillippi Cemetery with Pastor Harry Cunningham to officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials in Billy's memory be made to the Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street NW, Lenoir, NC 28645, Viewmont Baptist Church, 1246 Second Street NE, Hickory, NC 28601 or the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
