Elizabeth S Parks

Elizabeth S. Parks, age 88, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Watauga Medical Center. She was born on May 16, 1924 to the late James and Vennia Brookshire Buchanan. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Robert Bob' Parks; one sister and six brothers. Elizabeth retired from nursing after 40 plus years of service. She was a member of Mountain City Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Robinson Johnson and husband Leroy of Boone, NC; sons and daughters-in-law: Fred and Wanda Robinson of Butler, TN, Don and Mary Robinson of Mountain City, TN, Douglas Robinson and wife Carol of Bristol, TN and Steve Parks of Mountain City, TN; sister, Stella Blankenbeckler of Mountain City, TN; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. It was Elizabeth's wishes to be cremated. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Mountain City Presbyterian Church with Dr. Tom Peake. In lieu of flowers or food, memorial donations in Elizabeth's memory may be made to the Mountain City Presbyterian Church, 517 Fairground Lane, Mountain City, TN 37683.
