Martha Dean Arnold

Martha Dean Arnold, age, 68, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 28, 2013. She was born on September 22, 1944 to the late Bruce and Opal Dean (Dunn) Woodward. In addition to her parents,, Martha was preceded in death by an infant son, Terry Lynn Arnold and one brother Jerry Woodward. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Rev. Freddie L. Arnold Sr.; daughters: Karen Arnold and Cathy Cullop; one son, Freddie L. Arnold Jr. and wife Pam; grandchildren: David Ward and wife Liz, Jason Arnold, Justin Arnold, Brandon Cullop and Amber Cullop; great grandchild, Chainie Ward; one sister, Mary Jane Pierce; one brother, Larry Woodward and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Martha was a member of Roan Creek Baptist Church. She loved her family very much and enjoyed family get togethers. She loved to sew, work in the garden and plant flowers, when she was able. Martha worked for Levi Strauss for 19 years and was always there to lend a helping hand. She loved her little dog Precious. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors David Hankel and Derl McCloud officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are: Charlie Wood, Christopher Pierce, David Ward, Jason Arnold, Justin Arnold and Bobby Townsend.
