William Bill Baldwin, age 60, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on August 30, 1952 to the late Lillie Mae Canter Davis. In addition to his mother, Bill was preceded in death by his step-father, whom he lovingly called Dad, Virgil Davis and a son, Timothy Baldwin. Bill was an accomplished Stone Mason by trade and worked in constructions for many years. He loved old cars and took much pride in restoring them. Bill was a true family man and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a member of Heavenly Light Baptist Church. Bill is survived by his wife, Linda Baldwin; daughters and son-in-law: Treva Baldwin of Boone, NC and Kimberly and Eric Rominger of Ashe County, NC; sons and daughters-in-law: Jason and Crystal Hicks, Eric and Andrea Hicks, Paul Baldwin, Dustin Baldwin and fiancé Kellie Tedrow, all of Mountain City, TN and Brent Baldwin of Boone, NC; fourteen grandchildren; one great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews and his church family at Heavenly Light Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Heavenly Light Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Steele to officiate. A eulogy will be given by Mr. Dean Ward. The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Heavenly Light Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Baldwin, Mike Grayson, Eddie Cross, Jesse Cross, Richard Lewis and John Stout. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill's Church Family and all his special friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials in William's memory may be made to the Heavenly Light Baptist Church Building Fund, 363 Blant Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
