Gary R. Bunton

Gary Raymond Bunton, age 57, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. He was born on June 7, 1955 to Virginia Maude McCloud Bunton and the late Raymond Roy Bunton. In addition to his father, Gary was preceded in death by a son, Justin and a grandson, Caleb Cole Dugger. Gary enjoyed being outdoors and riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoes. Gary also enjoyed playing pool and was an avid chess player. He was a member of Stone Mountain Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, Virginia Maude Bunton, Gary is survived by his wife, Annette Cricket' Bunton; daughters: Jeanette Bunton, Kayla and Andrea; sisters: Clarice Bunton, Ginny Wagner and Teresa Bunton; step-children: Daniel Dugger, Amos Dugger, and Brandy Dugger grandchildren: Destinee LaRae, Arianna Grace, Cobi, Jasmine, Dalton, Ethan, Nathan, Savannah, Shelby, Aden, Cody and Tayla; several nieces and nephews; special friends: David Greene, Steve Allen, Dennis Greene and Bob Greene. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Eulogy will be give by John Greene. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are: Shawn McElyea, Scott Tester, Dale Pendergraft, Dave Pendergraft, Robbie Wagner, and Jeff West. Honorary pallbearers are: Shannon Greene, Steve Allen, David Greene, Dennis Greene, Michael Dugger, Jeff Dugger, Chris Pennington, Bobby Stanton and Shane Greene. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 1817 Divide Road, Mountain City, TN 37683 and at the home of Gary's mother, Virginia Bunton, 3843 Hwy 321, Butler, TN 37640.
