Bruce O'Dell Smith

Bruce O'Dell Smith, age 78, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was born on December 12, 1934 to the late William and Pearl Tester Smith. Bruce worked for many years in furniture manufacturing. He loved to be outside working in his garden and raising chickens and pigeons. He was of the Baptist faith. Bruce is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mollie Ellen Smith, son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Betty Smith of Mountain City, TN; sisters: Virginia Brown and Beatrice Crete Forrester, both of Mountain City, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Robert B. and Grace Smith of Blountville, TN; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. A Graveside Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Snyder Cemetery with Pastor Shannon Courtner to officiate. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 317 Melvin Brown Lane, Mountain City, TN 37683.
