Thomas Lane Reece Thomas Lane Reece, age 53, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 08, 2013 at his residence from a difficult battle with cancer. He was born June 15, 1959 in Banner Elk, North Carolina to Lucy Sanders Reece and the late Walter B. Reece. Lane was a simple man who lived a simple life. He took pleasure in the sunshine and was grateful for the rain. He lived his life enjoying the rhythm all around him and he strummed along with the beat. If you knew Lane you liked him. He had a laugh and a smile that was contagious. Lane was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include his mother, Lucy Sanders Reece of Mountain City; brother, Shane Reece and wife Rita of Mountain City; aunts: Mildred Ward and husband Junior, Mary Ann Potter, Linda Conville and Sylvia Hammons and husband Bill, cousin: Heidi Kerley and husband Don and their son Sammy, nieces: Christie Joiner and husband Steve and Keesha Rhudy and husband Jesse, great nephews: Stephen and Jayden Joiner and Carter Rhudy. Private Graveside service and interment will be on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Memorials contributions may be Johnson County Cancer Support Group, % Flo Bellamy 3510 Hwy 421 N., Mountain City, TN 37683.
